أطلقت Dior عطرها الجديد Sauvage، ويعود أصل الاسم إلى عطر Eau Sauvage الصادر عام 1966، رغم أن العطرين لا ينتميان إلى نفس المجموعة. يستوحي Sauvage إلهامه من المساحات البرية المفتوحة؛ سماء زرقاء تغطي مناظر صخرية، حارة تحت شمس الصحراء.
وقّع هذا الإصدار عطار دار Dior الداخلي، فرانسوا ديماتشي. وُصف العطر بأنه منعش بشكل جذري، خام ونبيل في الوقت نفسه. يُقال إن تركيبته تعتمد بشكل أساسي على مكونات طبيعية مختارة بعناية. تلتقي النفحات العليا المنعشة من برغموت كالابريا مع الأمبروكسان المستخرج من العنبر الرمادي الثمين، تاركة أثرًا خشبيًا مميزًا.
